Dear Crossovering Writer,

Thanks for writing me a story! In general, I like most things. I am a multishipper, and I read slash, het, femslash, and gen. Femslash and gen are especially welcome, as they tend to be underrepresented categories! Crossover pairings are more than welcome. I also like all genres, fluff, angst, adventure, case fic, humour, romance, character study, slice of life/domestic, you name it! I prefer my angst to have a ray of hope and not be too grimdark.

In the fandoms I haven’t specified characters from, it’s because identifying just 10 who were my favourites was absolutely impossible! I adopt characters as my favourites at a drop of the hat! Main characters or minor characters, it doesn’t matter. Generally, I tend to adopt the protagonists, their family, friends or allies, more than the antagonists or villains, but as with any rules there are exceptions - although I tend to find that the closer the antagonists are to working with the protagonists and the more respect and affection (however reluctant) there is between the protagonists and the antagonists, the more willing my brain is to classify the antagonist as One of the Good Ones, and therefore adopt them. If I have specified characters, those are a guideline to my very absolute favourites, but don’t feel obligated to include them or to not include others. I will very happily read about other characters as well!

Tropes that I particularly enjoy are found families, hurt/comfort, POV outsider, canon divergence, characters with low self-worth being loved and accepted, time travel (both time-travel fix-its and travel to unfamiliar times for the character), happy poly relationships, happy asexual characters and relationships, healthy communication, banter, competent characters being awesome, characters working together towards a common goal, women being super awesome, women supporting other women, and 5+1.

I don’t really enjoy PWP – in fact, I prefer any sex scenes to be of the fade to black variety, or referred to, rather than described, if included at all. I also don’t like incest, teacher/student, mpreg or a/b/o, even as romantic tropes. I don’t like to read about infidelity or about protagonists doing things they know will hurt other protagonists, jealousy/love triangles, or conflicts due to misunderstandings that would take less than a minute to clear up if characters would just talk to each other (conflicts that take more time and effort to solve are fine and fun). I dislike character bashing: unless the character is a villain in canon, please either write them sympathetically, or leave them out.

This all being said, am not that picky and will enjoy most things that aren’t on my DNW list, if none of my prompts below grab your imagination. I’m sure I’ll love whatever you write!

Specific crossovers:

Leverage, Orphan Black, Sense8:

There is something incredibly satisfying about a group of hypercompetent people working together to take down corrupt corporations/organisations. I’d love to see a team-up between a combination of Clone Club, the Leverage Team, and the Sensates! Perhaps there are sinister links between BPO and DYAD/Neolution? Perhaps someone from Clone Club or a Sensate approaches the Leverage team for help? Perhaps the Leverage team goes up against BPO or DYAD/Neolution independently and stumbles across Sensates/Clone Club. How do they react to clones/sensates? How do clones and sensates react to each other?

Due to the large ensemble casts of especially Orphan Black and Sense8, I feel this combination is probably best with just two of the three fandoms, rather than trying to juggle characters from all three fandoms, but if you feel like including all three, don’t let me stop you!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Teen Wolf, Stargate SG1:

I love all three fandoms in any combination, and will happily read whatever crossover written here! I feel like all three fandoms are very good for one of my absolute favourite tropes in crossovers: stories where characters from one fandom stumble across supernatural/sci-fi elements from another fandom, or slowly piece together clues about the supernatural/sci-fi element in question and either figuring it out or getting it terribly wrong, or characters from a supernatural/sci-fi fandom trying to keep it a secret from characters from another fandom. I love the irony opportunities when the reader knows far more than any character does, and all characters hold different pieces of the puzzle and have to fit them together to find out the truth. Since all three fandoms have supernatural/sci-fi elements they are trying to keep secret from the world, opportunities abound for misunderstandings and suspicions between them! Real family tropes work well here, I think, but that’s just a suggestion - any way to get the characters in the same place would be awesome!

Stargate SG1, Leverage:

Word of God says they are set in the same universe, so this crossover is practically canon! Was one of the Leverage team part of a gate team before their criminal career, and if so, what happened and how does the rest of the team find out (most obvious suspect is Eliot, but Parker and Hardison also pose very interesting opportunities)? Does the Leverage team try to run a con on an organisation run by the NID/a Goa’uld? Does the SGC recruit the Leverage team for a problem they can’t solve themselves? Does the Leverage team get into trouble investigating mysterious happenings around Cheyenne Mountain? I’d love to see interactions between the Leverage team and SG1 (in whatever incarnation of SG1).

Stargate Atlantis, Harry Potter:

I love the worldbuilding of SGA, so I’d really like this to be Harry Potter characters in the Pegasus galaxy or on Atlantis while it’s on Earth, rather than SGA characters in magical Britain. How do the characters come to be there? Does the Veil lead to a planet in Pegasus? Does one or more character go Muggle and join the Atlantis expedition? What happens when the Atlantis expedition finds out about magic?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Stargate Atlantis:

I love the worldbuilding of SGA, so I’d really like this to be Buffy characters in the Pegasus galaxy or on Atlantis while it’s on Earth, rather than SGA characters in Sunnydale. How do the characters come to be there? Does a portal dump them in the Pegasus galaxy? Does one or more character join the Atlantis expedition? What happens when the Atlantis expedition finds out about Slayers and demons?

Chronicles of Narnia, Agent Carter:

I’d love to see something with the Pevensies interacting with the Agent Carter crew! Maybe they are also agents for SHIELD, using skills they picked up in Narnia? Maybe they met during the later stages of the war (the timeline of LWW doesn’t quite fit for this, but who cares about the timeline?!)? Or maybe they are civilians who help the SHIELD agents just because it’s the Right Thing To Do? Maybe their paths cross and they never find out that the others are secret agents/used to be Kings and Queens of Narnia? Maybe their time in Narnia marked them in some way, and either SHIELD or Leviathan/Hydra or some other sinister organisation is after them? I like reading about Pevensies who are somehow Different due to their time in Narnia, for instance unexpectedly mature and competent for their ages, or having skills you wouldn’t normally expect from children or young adults in the mid-20th century, but might expect monarchs from a fantasy medieval kingdom to have. I would prefer the Last Battle to be disregarded.
